A drop is when a batch of Butter Boy Pretzels becomes available to pre-order. Each batch is made fresh on pickup day. Once it's sold out, that batch is gone until the next drop is scheduled. You select your pickup time slot at checkout.

Click “Order Here” at the top of the site to go to our Hotplate page. Enter your phone number to join the drop list, and you’ll get a text every time pre-orders go live.

Pre-orders are scheduled for either Saturday or Sunday each week (depending on availability that week), and pickup windows are 12:30PM–6PM. Exact location details and your chosen pickup time will be included in your order confirmation.

Pre-orders usually open Wednesdays at 6PM for weekend pickups.

All orders must be submitted by Friday at 5PM, or before we sell out.

Pickup is at our home bakery near 86th St and Ditch Rd, on the north side of Indianapolis. When you place your order, you’ll be able to select your preferred time slot for pickup at checkout and exact address will be shown.

If you can’t make your pickup time, please text us at 317-777-0389 as soon as possible.

• Missed Pickup: If you don’t arrive during your scheduled pickup window and fail to notify us, your order may be forfeited without a refund due to the perishable nature of our products.

• Rescheduling: In case of an emergency, please contact us at least 24 hours before your scheduled pickup time. While we will do our best to accommodate, rescheduling may not always be possible.

The Test Kitchen by Butter Boy Pretzels is where I create small-batch, elevated pretzel experiences. Items from the Test Kitchen are extremely limited and may appear once, twice, or never again. These orders are usually handled directly through the Butter Boy website, not Hotplate.

We currently do not have a physical storefront. All of our baked goods are made fresh in our home bakery located in the North Willow Farms neighborhood (W. 86th & Township Line Road) in Indianapolis. You can place your order online for local pickup, and the exact address will be provided at checkout.
